Little Slam on the Prairie is a curated puppet slam coming to Des Moines, Iowa, designed to spark and grow the art of puppetry in our state. Part of the national Puppet Slam Network, this event invites established puppeteers, artists new to puppetry, and theatre-makers eager to explore the medium to apply. Audiences will experience the full spectrum of puppetry arts—from rod and string puppets to shadow play and experimental performance art—in an evening celebrating innovation, storytelling, and creative connection.
